National Pizza Day is February 9th and it inspired us to feature where you can get pizza in the Village of Spring Lake. On top of where to get pizza, the Village staff weighed in on their favorite items to order from each location.
Fuel Bar + Refuge
Set in a gas station built in the 1930s, Fuel offers unique and original drinks as well a small menu that is cooked in their wood-fired oven and kitchen that is open to the dining room. You can build your own pizza or choose from the list of their unique 10″ pies including Meat, Fig, and Arugula & Sausage pizzas.
Village Staff Favorite: Elote Pizza with Mexican-style roasted corn, chorizo, elote crema, roasted red pepper, goat cheese, & cilantro.
Little Caesars Pizza
Famous for their $5.55 Hot-N-Ready pizzas, one could argue that it’s one of the best pizza deals in the Village. They don’t offer traditional pizza delivery but they do partner with Lakeshore Delivery Partners and other delivery apps if you already made it home and forgot to pick up pizza for dinner.
Village Staff Favorite: Classic Hot-N-Ready with garlic dipping sauce and an order of the Italian Cheese Bread.
Mama Mia’s Pizzeria
Established in 1968, Mama Mia’s has been a family-owned pizzeria ever since. They offer thin crust pizza, subs, breadsticks, and wings for pick up or delivery. They will even deliver your order to your table or barstool at neighboring Stan’s Bar.
Village Staff Favorite: The Deluxe Pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers.
Marco’s Pizza
The first Marco’s Pizza opened just outside of Toledo, Ohio in 1978. They offer a variety of signature pizzas, build your own options, subs, wings, salads, and dessert. You can order pick-up or delivery too!
Village Staff Favorite: Pepperoni Magnifico with classic pepperoni, Old World Pepperoni, signature sauce, and three-cheese blend, with Romaesan seasoning.
Old Boys’ Brewhouse
Established in 1997, Old Boys Brewhouse attributes its canine-oriented theme to the influence and memory of the beloved chocolate labrador, Old Boy. OBB is Spring Lake’s only brewery and offers views of Spring Lake and a full menu including pizzas.
Village Staff Favorite: The Carbo Loader with sweet & tangy BBQ, pulled pork, red onions, and OBB macaroni & cheese.
Two Tony’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar
Having started his legal in New York City, owner Tony Tague, fell in love with Little Italy which was within walking distance from his office in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Two Tony’s opened in the Village’s east end in 2006 and serve Italian fare including pasta, risotto, and hand-tossed, wood-fired pizzas. Available for pick-up, dine-in, and delivery via Lakeshore Delivery Partners.
Village Staff Favorite: Quattro Formaggi pizza with garlic butter, provolone, mozzarella, asiago, fontina, Italian sausage, crimini mushroom, truffle oil, and fresh basil.
Village Baker
Village Baker opened in 2011 with owners Sara Rathbun & Oran Rankin serving homemade baked goods. They have grown to offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering – and yes, pizza!
Village Staff Favorite: The Breakfast Pizza with sausage gravy, house cheese blend, homemade chorizo sausage, and sunny-side-up eggs.
