Donating blood is more important than you know! You never know when that moment comes, that blood will be needed by someone you love. That is what happened for us on St. Pattys day 2017. Our daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. We had no idea what that fully meant for us. We soon found out that she has the type of blood that flies off the shelf because anyone can receive it, but she can only receive her type, which is O-. This resulted in us, waiting over three hours to get blood shipped in from Detroit, when her hemoglobin was life-threatening low. From that moment on, it has been our mission to help our community understand how important it is to give and that is where the team Tegan community blood drive began on May 6, 2017!
